Where is Butte?

Butte, Montana, is a picturesque, full service community with an estimated population of 32,000 residents. Butte is situated on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains in Southwest Montana and has its roots in mining the rich mineral deposits in the area. Resodyn Corporation is located in the historic Hennessy Building in downtown Butte. Once home to the Anaconda Copper Company, our offices are rich in history and within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops.

An outdoor enthusiast's dream, Butte offers a wide variety of recreation activities within or near the city. There is easy access to wildlife viewing and hunting, rock climbing, plentiful trout streams for fishing (the Big Hole River is one of the best trout fishing areas in the world!), camping, hiking, mountain biking, and a variety of winter sports activities including skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. Butte is conveniently located between Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park.

Community

Butte is a full service community with a hospital, St. James Healthcare, and several medical and dental clinics. Our airport provides regional jet service to and from Salt Lake City. We have a thriving retail community including large chain stores, several grocery stores, and many small vendors offering a wide variety of services and products.

There are both public and parochial schools located in Butte, including 9 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 2 high schools. Montana Tech of the University of Montana, located in Butte, has been listed as one of the best institutions for undergraduate education in the US by the Princeton Review for 10 consecutive years.
